Question What Was The Best Of The Hulk TV Movies?

All three are can actually be pretty enjoyable, largely due to the "proto-MCU" hook. Death is the only one of the three not to involve other Marvel characters and tightens the focus on David and the relationship with the creature. Still, that doesn't necessarily mean that Death is automatically the best because of the bummer ending. And it's a little annoying they could get McGee back for the first and not have him show up for the finale.

Jack Colvin who played McGee had suffered a minor stroke shortly after the first reunion movie and had retired from acting. My favorite was Death of the Incredible Hulk. It felt like a Hulk episode.

The Incredible Hulk was the first attempt into bringing the Green Goliath into live action. Running from 1978 to 1982 it was revived again in a series of telemovies beginning with The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk which aimed to introduce the duel characters of Matt Murdoch and Daredevil and then have him spin-off into his own series. None of that happened but it did a lot of things right including John Rhys Davies as the Kingpin. Thanks for watching!

The Death of the Incredible Hulk was the best. It felt more like a cinema feature. Had good plots.

There was suppose to be a 4th Hulk TV movie called "The Rebirth of the Incredible Hulk", but that never came to light because of Bill Bixby's illness and then death.

I would rank the movies in the following order.

1. Death of the Incredible Hulk
2. The Incredible Hulk Returns. Good, but campy like the 1960 Batman TV series.
3. The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. It was a boring movie. The best feature was seeing Stan Lee make his first of many cameos.

Lou Ferrigno's the Incredible Hulk was too popular to remain cancelled forever, and garnered three direct-to-TV movies in the late '80s and early '90s. However, a fourth movie was planned which may have featured the debut of She-Hulk and even Iron Man, called Revenge of the Incredible Hulk. So, what if it happened?
  • 0:00 Lou Ferrigno's Hulk
  • 0:26 Opening Intro
  • 1:19 Show Cancellation and Revival
  • 2:04 Cast and Plot
  • 3:43 Cancellation
  • 4:11 Final Thoughts

The Incredible Hulk returns in a series of TV movies, where he meets Thor and Daredevil for the first time in live-action. Do they hold up? Is this a satisfying ending for the character? Let's find out!

This is a retrospective video essay on NBC’s late-80s/early-90s Incredible Hulk TV movie trilogy: Return of the Incredible Hulk (1988), Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989), and Death of the Incredible Hulk (1990).

In this era before interconnected superhero franchises dominated screens, these films attempted something bold: expand Marvel’s television universe, cross over characters like Thor and Daredevil, and finally conclude David Banner’s long, tragic road. It’s part comeback story, part Cold War paranoia, and part charmingly clunky 1980s television spectacle.

In Death of the Incredible Hulk, Banner finds love in Jasmin, a Russian operative who embodies the spirit of Marvel’s Black Widow archetype without ever being named—making her one of the earliest live-action echoes of the character on screen. And how chances of a planned fourth film was scrapped due to tragedy off-screen.

This video is intended for newcomers and longtime fans alike—an invitation to discover (or rediscover) one of Marvel TV’s most unusual experiments in shared-universe storytelling and televised tragedy.
