Default Frasier reboot canceled after two seasons

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv...on%20concluded.

Paramount+ says it won't go ahead with a third season of Frasier, its revival of the Must See TV-era NBC comedy starring Kelsey Grammer. The news comes two months after the show's second season concluded.

The second season wasn't as funny as the first. They made at least two clear mistakes:

1. Almost completely ignored the things they set up in Season 1 - Frasier's teaching job and the apartment building he purchased; and,

2. Reaching for nostalgia instead of humor, bringing back Roz, Bebe, Bulldog, Gil, Grammer's friend Patricia Heaton, and even his daughter.

The producers indicated they were looking at reddit forums for feedback, and I can't help but think that was a mistake.

Frasier Season 3's Cancelation Is An Insult To The Original Show's Legacy

Frasier's revival has been canceled after 2 seasons, tarnishing the legacy of this all-time classic sitcom. Is there a chance it can be saved?

No, the Frasier revival existing in the first place was an insult to the legacy of the original. Good riddance, the supporting cast was awful. Now the board for classic Frasier here has been tarnished with the multitude of threads for the revival that should have been put in their own separate board.

Kelsey Grammer is "very positive" his Frasier reboot will find a new home, says Paramount+ "didn’t really promote or spend much time on it"

“There’s a better home for it,” Grammer tells the New York Post nearly two months after Paramount+'s cancelation of his Frasier revival after two seasons. “I mean, obviously, they didn’t really promote or spend much time on it.” As Grammer explains, “the fellow that worked at Paramount+ when we first sold the show there left, and so it sort of fell into their laps, the next administration, without having any real conscious and what to do with it. So I think they gave it sort of a good try, but they weren’t particularly passionate about the project...“We’ll end up somewhere where people are passionate about it. Listen, it’s got a huge audience, a big following, and if people know where to find it, I think they will.” Grammer also says Ted Danson could visit if Frasier finds a new home. “Ted and I might visit actually something together,” says Grammer. “We’ve been talking about a couple ideas. Maybe on Frasier. We don’t know.”

Frasier Season 3's Cancelation Robs Us Of Getting The Much Better Version Of A Frasier & Roz Romance

Frasier Crane and Roz Doyle were never meant to end up together, but maybe 2 others close to them were. Could a 3rd season of Frasier make it happen?

I'd watch it if it appeared on one of the services I pay for already.

What got a huge audience, Frasier or the reboot! Business decisions are now being made by these streaming services, evidence needs to be present that there is value returned for money spent, the speculating days are over. A lot of these reboots/relaunches have fallen by the wayside pretty quickly (think Will & Grace, One Day at a Time, Who's the Boss), I could be wrong but I doubt this reboot will be picked up.
