I missed that one until you pointed it out. I’ll never understand reading about such an imaginable tragedy and reacting so callously.

I probably should have ignored him, too, but people are all over the internet spreading terrible and slanderous misinformation about Rob Reiner in the wake of his death and it’s just sick. These people are happy he was murdered simply because of his beliefs.

With these awful people, it has nothing to do with the Mike Stivic character and everything to do with Rob Reiner’s real-life political ideologies. It’s why they’re glad he’s dead, why some say he belonged in prison, and why they’re accusing him of saying things he never said to justify their giddiness over his murder.

And not for nothing, but the real Carroll O’Connor was a lot more politically aligned with Rob Reiner and Mike Stivic than he was with Archie Bunker. I’m not saying they agreed on everything, but Mr. O’Connor, like Mr. Reiner, was a liberal.
