Lol Could The Wonder Years have lasted until 1995 or 1996?

The show was cancelled over 28 years ago in 1993 nearly a generation lol, but do you think had the show not been cancelled it could last until at least 1995?

Well, keep in mind, that the show could've in theory naturally run for an additional season. But according Alley Mills, ABC cancelled the show after six seasons primarily because of a sexual harassment lawsuit that was levelled against Fred Savage and Jason Hervey.

I'm guessing that the network thought it would be in their best interest to cut the show loose (which was already aging) rather than let a likely scandal involving its young stars get out in the open.

No.

The show was declining in ratings by 1992, and the producers would not touch many issues that 16-18 year old boys face, as ABC wanted it to remain "family friendly" at the 8 PM time slot. The only way it could have survived is for the show to move to a later time slot, but I can't see it lasting until 1995-96, where the show would have to revolve around a 20 year old Kevin Arnold, and all his friends getting into disco music.

I agree but season 6 was already focusing on kevin dealing with teenage issues as he was 16 to 17 last season but if they had did a season 7 would been cool I think episodes would focus more on kevin and Paul we would saw senior prom senior pictures I wanted to see graduation I think the last episode would been kevin father dies
