Wonder Woman's costume: A side-by-side comparison
Wonder Woman's Season 1 costume, although a little more modest than its 1970s iteration, was still pretty racy for real-time 1940s standards. If you look at the Wonder Woman comics of that period, Wonder Woman was either in a skirt or dance shorts.
 Wonder Woman's new costume in the 2nd season was cut lower in the bust to presumably, emphasize Lynda Carter's décolletage, and the bottom was cut higher at the thighs to showcase her long legs. One has to suspect that CBS wanted the show to compete with ABC's Charlie's Angels in T&A and thus, high ratings. |
