So did I especially when she cut her hair at the start of season 4. She became more prettier and got rid of the plain Jane look she had in the first three seasons (especially the first two).

I know that was THE style for women in the mid-1970s, but it was very distracting since it was so obvious Bonnie Franklin was braless in those early episodes.

I've only seen Season 1, so I can't vouch for the later episodes.

Plus, if your goal is to teach your two young daughters the way to solve a billing dispute is to cry rape ( "The Upholstery Ripoff "), a bra would just get in the way.

Count me as one who thinks Bonnie was not the attractive female the show tried to make her out to be. her shrewish attitude towards everyone probably contributes to my opinion.

No one should ever have to force a lady to wear a bra if they don't want to. If ladies don't want to wear a bra (especially if they're just lounging in their own home), then they don't need to.
