Default Vanna White Is Reportedly 'Worried' Her 'Wheel Of Fortune' Days Are Numbered

https://theblast.com/700450/vanna-wh...-are-numbered/

Quote:
Vanna White is reportedly in a state of panic over the possibility of being replaced on her eight-figure-earning hosting job.

Sources close to the show are stating that Pat's daughter, Maggie Sajak, stands out as a likely replacement for the 68-year-old. Maggie reportedly joined the show as its social correspondent in 2021, which means she is not a stranger to how things run on and off the screen.

Although insiders confirm that no offers have been put on the table yet, Maggie remains an attractive choice because she is younger and a more prudent option.

Maggie reportedly earns significantly less than Vanna's $10 million per year, and the show's producers view her as a way to cut costs. "It's no wonder Vanna is worried," the source noted.

Sources also reveal that her latest significant salary increase, which was negotiated after Pat's replacement, Ryan Seacrest, reportedly more than tripled her previous earnings.

Vanna's contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026, and the powers that be are not willing to sit down at the discussion table for any more increases.

Another insider explained to RadarOnline that the TV host was able to have things go her way the last time because the producers and the network were in a different position. However, now things may not work in her favor, and she is reportedly concerned because "what other gig pays $10 million for only 34 days of work?"

Yes, Vanna gets paid a sumptuous $10 million a year for appearing on set for a total of 34 days. Back in March, E! Online shared the version of events from Vanna's POV when she appeared on the Morning Show.

In her words, "We film about 34 days a year. That's it. But we film six shows a day. Come on, you could feel bad for me." Vanna did not get any sympathy for apparently having such a great time at her job, but the host shared that she does not see her days off as any form of vacation.

She also explained how the show producers made her job easier by switching from a manually controlled system to a high-tech environment that allows her to do fewer physical tasks while on set.

Vanna noted that the production team installed a laser system that works in conjunction with her hand motion to "light up" the letters and perform other functions.

Co-hosting the "Wheel of Fortune" for decades has earned the TV personality "a half-hour of family, and escape from much." She emphasized that the show leaves a positive trail in her path, and she enjoys "being part of that."

The reason I think Vanna White is seriously worried that her days at Wheel Of Fortune are gonna be over is that she is truly afraid that Wheel Of Fortune may decide they don't need her anymore because of the electronic letterboard and before the debut of the electronic letterboard Vanna White would always turn each letter and symbol on the letterboard manually and I think that once Wheel Of Fortune switched to the electronic letterboard Vanna thought she would be not be needed yet they kept her and how I think Vanna White does the letters now is that she is given a stylus and to make the letters appear she touches the board with the stylus and the letters appear. But I also think secretly that Pat Sajak wants to put his daughter as Vanna White's replacement to make her a superstar game show hostess. But Maggie Sajak is already getting started with her music career as a country singer and if Vanna White ever were to retire from Wheel Of Fortune in the future the show would get weak ratings and get cancelled

The Upcoming Season of Wheel of Fortune should be the perfect proper send off for Vanna White in which [if] she can pass the torch to possibly either Maggie Sajak or Rachel Reynolds; it much how Wheel itself transition from Susan Stafford back in 1982.

Maggie Sajak should be replacing lousy Ryan as host, not Vanna as letter turner.

The letters can light up at any time. Who needs a letter turner? Yeah I get the eye candy angle….

Seriously. The money they save could gp more to their budget.

And BTW Vanna from what I gather is more around 70. When she first appeared, she revealed she was 27. Was that not 1982? Age is nothing to be ashamed of, says my 66 year old self!

Vanna has made a bundle off the show. She admitted once something like “all I do is turn letters!” That was at a time when letters were on trilons, and it was necessary. Today, nope!

I hardly watch the show now, especially with no returning champ. Just like the GSN output.

And…will a Prize Puzzle ever be anything besides a trip? Game shows like to give away trips, because often a contestant will refuse it for a cash payout, maybe less than the trip value.

Of course today’s Wheel creams the old day where one had to purchase a ceramic Dalmatian….

I wonder what she does with her 330 + days where she doesn't work. Even getting 10 million a year, I'd go crazy doing nothing else. I have never seen her guest star on any other prime time show.
