Why was Dan unable to hold down a business
His father was a successful salesman, and his mother was able to launch a travel agency. Apparently, Dan never paid attention to his parents' business smarts.
 Every business he started FAILED (drywall, bike shop, real estate). And he had the nerve to stay mad at his dad for being gone all the time but he was actually out MAKING MONEY. His father even tried to encourage him to get a REAL job but he wasn't trying to hear that. Roseanne often had to work TWO jobs just for them to have any little money. Then had the nerve to loan money out to his friends like he had money to blow.
