Was the “Rowdy Girls” episode (Season 4) the absolute worst episode of the series
Or at the very least, among the seasons Delta Burke and Jean Smart (Seasons 1-5)? In "The Rowdy Girls", Charlene’s cousin, Mavis (played by Kim Zimmer), is getting beating up by her husband. Charlene discovers this while Mavis is coaching the decorators to lip-sync to The Supremes for some performance. This B plot with the performance is primarily focused on Suzanne wanting to appear in black face (she does). The B plot and the main plot intersect when Mavis shows up at the performance and Charlene triumphantly punches the air while lip-synching when she sees Mavis at the back of the auditorium with her kids.
