Did Petticoat Junction ever have a "signature" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

What I mean by that is when compared to Paul Henning's other big rural sitcoms on CBS, The Beverly Hillbillies and Green Acres. The Beverly Hillbillies got a ton of mileage out of the hillbillies' misunderstandings of Beverly Hills. Meanwhile, Green Acres leaned heavily into surrealism.

Was Petticoat Junction's "signature" if it had one, was that it was super wholesome? Especially after Paul Henning decided to shift all his surreal energies into Green Acres. So Petticoat Junction kind of became like The Lawrence Welk Show, but as a rural sitcom.

Even though it was more tame than his other two shows, I really liked Petticoat Junction the best! To me I liked the warm, homey and family atmosphere of this show. Green Acres is my second favorite of the trio.
