Times when the writers ignored continuity for the sake of that one joke
For example, when Arnie was first introduced on the show, he was a friend of Dan's who dipped Roseanne down and kissed her. And she was flattered and confused the rest of the night about what it meant, even calling Jackie to come over to help analyze it.
Yet in a later season, a drunk Jackie slept with Arnie and when she shamefully confessed, Roseanne and her friends reminded Jackie that they had all taken an oath as teenagers that none of them would ever sleep with him. |
