The Douglas Family drove Chevrolet and later Pontiac automobiles, so it was a GM show -- not "Ford" as the author states...! Where did that come from???
Quote: "Season 12, which covered the 1971-1972 program season, found Steve Douglas married to widowed teacher Barbara (again, divorce was not an option) and adopted her young daughter." Actually Steve married Barbara back in Season 10, 1969-70. Poor research. Just for the record as well, Vivian Vance's character Viv Bagley on The Lucy Show years earlier was a divorcee -- so the divorce comment is also inaccurate as far as TV sitcom history. |

Also there are all kinds of Chevys featured in the early season closing credits, but none of the video shows Steve driving one of the cars.
And re the Ford confusion, maybe the writer watched the early seasons of Leave it to Beaver, where the featured cars were Fords. |
