Everybody Loves Raymond expertly portrays the reality of family life. But, why are Ray's twins, Michael and Geoffrey so different in the pilot?

^^^ The reason for replacing the original twins could have been anything. Maybe they cried too much during the filming. To me, they didn't look like boys that Ray and Debra would have. Those twins had curly hair when Ray and Debra did not.

P.S. My big question is why were the names changed? Matthew and Gregory were their names in the first episode.
