15 Minute Game Show Reviews: Lingo (RIP Chuck Woolery)

Hey, everyone. Merry Christmas. I just finished my newest video, another episode of my 15 Minute Game Show Reviews. This time, I'm reviewing the 2000s GSN version of Lingo in memory of the recently passed Chuck Woolery, one of the best game show hosts of all time. GSN's Lingo is actually a remake of a game show that was a syndicated hit in 1987 and when you compare the four versions of Lingo there really is no comparison. I had never even heard of Lingo until I saw an episode by accident while waiting for Catch-21 to start and I can honestly say that Lingo was Chuck Woolery's return as a Comeback Kid after Greed The Series ended it's run and I think Chuck Woolery got the Lingo hosting job because I think GSN had offered him tons of money and because of him Lingo got good ratings. But I think Lingo got ruined when Bill Engvall took over hosting duties replacing Chuck Woolery and Shandi Hennessey was absent in this version and why GSN revived Lingo i'll never understand because they ruined it when Bill Engvall made his Lingo debut. But watch some clips of Bill Engvall's version on Youtube and you'll understand why it got cancelled. But why CBS got another version of Lingo and put RuPaul as host was a worst choice and you can see why it failed. I can say if there is one version of Lingo to watch Chuck Woolery's version is always the best
