Yes I did and I think Ryan's doing well hosting the show and he'll be around for a long time, I'm enjoying him on there. I'll never understand the undeserved hate Ryan gets from people! Having said that I hate the new set, but that's not why I watch the show so I can live with it and just ignore it. LOL.

People hate Howard Stern, Bill Maher, the ladies at The View and a slew of other celebs. No one really hates Ryan Seacrest. Like me, they're tired of seeing him and on top of that, he's always been a bad fit for whatever gig he's taking over. WOF should've gone with a comedian or comedic actor like Family Feud, The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal did. Game shows do best with someone in comedy who can crack jokes to keep the show moving as well as snark when the contestants mess up, but in a way that is good natured, not meanspirited. Ryan Seacrest is too vanilla and generic. He's suited to deliver celebrity news on a show like Extra but not be a game show host.

Ryan Seacrest's first week as Wheel of Fortune host was up 21% over last year

Wheel was the No. 1 show in syndication with 8.31 million viewers for Seacrest's first week since taking over for Pat Sajak. About 9.6 million watched Seacrest's first episode, up 70% from last fall's premiere.

I turned on Wheel of Fortune's final segment waiting for Jeopardy! Now Ryan Seacrest is using Wheel to plug his studios.

I Think We Need to Give Ryan Seacrest a Chance on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Seacrest has faced a stream of criticism since he took over hosting duties from Pat Sajak.

Wheel of Fortune was TV's No. 1 most-watched entertainment program during premiere month

With Ryan Seacrest replacing longtime host Pat Sajak, Season 42 of the iconic game show "averaged 7.99 million total viewers from Sept. 9 to Oct. 6, marking Wheel‘s biggest premiere month audience in three years," according to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, adding: "Year-over-year, that audience of nearly 8 million marked a 12% increase; in the 25-54 demo, Wheel of Fortune is up +3%. Wheel of Fortune also stands as TV’s No. 1 most-watched entertainment program, besting every series — including all primetime fare — during the month of September, across broadcast, cable and syndication."

Is Ryan Seacrest the long-lost son of the late Regis Philbin, arguably American television’s most annoying and ubiquitous gadfly/tv pitchman?

Regis Philbin was a great host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and Million Dollar Password. And I enjoyed his guest appearances on Mad About You, Diagnosis Murder, and Seinfeld. Ryan Seacrest is not in the same league as Regis.

Do you remember when the late, great Dick Clark suffered a stroke and was unable to host his annual New Year’s Eve Show on ABC? Fortunately, ABC was able to enlist Mr. Clark’s friend and colleague, Regis Philbin, to fill-in for Mr. Clark as the host for that much-anticipated show.

As a result of Mr. Clark’s stroke, there was some concern if he would be able to return to host the next New Year’s Eve Show on ABC. In a display of great courage and determination, Mr. Clark undertook a lengthy series of grueling and demanding physical therapy sessions to recover his ability to articulate effectively.

So, it was very moving, indeed, to see Mr. Clark return the following year to valiantly, and with some understandable difficulty, resume
his New Year’s Eve hosting duties on ABC. And, where was Regis Philbin when his good friend Dick Clark was back on ABC? Why, Regis (or “Reege”), was over on the Fox Channel, hosting
that cable channel’s New Year’s Eve show.

Gee, wasn’t that rather tacky and even greedy of Regis Philbin to go up on the air against his good friend and colleague, Dick Clark, when Mr. Clark was making such a courageous and emotional return to the airwaves? Shame on Regis Philbin.
