Did Bill Quinn have health problems in real life, especially in its 4th season, or the fact they had enough characters that his appearance wasn't needed as much. I doubt it was health. I just saw Quinn today in an episode of Greatest American Hero from 1982. I'm guessing two things.

1. they had too many mouths to feed for a 1/2 hour show especially with a superstar like CoC who was gonna eat up a lot of camera time.

2. Danielle Brisebois mentioned in a 1994 interview she got a nice pay bump the last season. That may have been the reason she was used a lot less. It was an expensive show to make. CoC was being paid a ton$. So to cut costs they used cheaper actors. The same might have applied to Quinn. For a few seconds of comic relief if was cheaper to use Bruce and have Archie make a Chinaman joke instead of waving his hand in Mr. VanR's face with a blind joke which we'd already seen countless times.
