Adopted Son Searches for His biological Dad only to find out he's Charles Manson!!!

Has anyone heard of a search for a birth mother/parents that ended up positive/happy ?

He feels love for the father he grew up believing was out there, not the father that he has now. I'm sure ever since he learned that he was adopted, he's probably made fantasies in his head about who his parents are, and over time, grew to love who he imagined them to be. Now that he knows who his father is, despite the fact that he's one of the coldest-hearted serial killers that have ever existed, it's hard for this man to completely get over the 30+ years of emotions he felt. I'm sure he's not suffering through depression for nothing.

Absolutely. My father found his birth mother in 1993. She was a beautiful person, and the best possible grandmother I could have hoped for. I'm so thankful I had her in my life before she died of breast cancer. I'll always miss her.

I think that's easier said than done. I don't think you truly know how you'd feel if you found out such a thing about your past. If I found out my biological grandfather was, say, Ted Bundy - I'd have all sorts of conflicting emotions.

It's interesting you brought this up because Ted Bundy actually did have a child, a daughter, with a woman he knew while on death row (Had sex during a visit and the rest is history). She was just a young girl when Ted was executed (and I think the mother might've changed her daughter's name once she got her head straightened out after realizing Ted wasn't exactly husband material), but I've always wondered whether she knows the truth now and how it impacts her. Must be a helluva thing to discover!

Yup, and she actually looks a LOT like Ted, too. I've only seen one picture of her (it's the only one that has ever been aired...she was only four years old at the time) and her facial features are eerily similar to her father's. I think her name was Rosa (or Rose?) at birth, but her mother has since changed it and gone into anonymity. His daughter has to be at least 26 today.

I just looked it up - she was supposedly born in October 1982.

See, that's what's so tragic about being adopted. You have no idea who your real family might be. I can really understand, that this man was shocked by this news. I don't know who Ted Bundy is, another murderer perhaps? Then I feel sorry for his daughter too.

Yes, Ted Bundy was a notorious serial killer here in the States - he committed most of his crimes in the 60s and 70s. He was executed in 1989.

I did a search for Matthew Roberts. I didn't remember this thread.

I saw a few interviews he did on Daze with Jordan the Lion's channel. He did a DNA test recently. He wasn't the son of Charles Manson. Sadly he unexpectedly passed away on September 3.
