Apparently, Mayim Bialik has a podcast, where in one episode, she and Melissa Joan Hart discussed women in comedy. And Mayim at one point, made a comment about how Judith Light's character on Who's the Boss, Angela Bower was not written/presented well. She then said 'that's how things were back then'.

Did they expand on that? Did they say why they felt that way? I disagree. I feel like yeah, some things about her are a sign of the times, but also I think she's still relevant as a character because women are still going through the same bull from men today as she did 30+ years ago.
