Default Alyssa Milano SLAMMED for launching GoFundMe for son's baseball trip

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...ball-trip.html

Quote:
Alyssa Milano was mercilessly trolled this week for sharing a GoFundMe soliciting donations for her 12-year-old son's baseball team trip.

She set up the GoFundMe page herself under her married name and then shared it to her account on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The star is reportedly worth $10M and she is married to David Bugliari, who is a talent agent in Hollywood.

Writing that her son Milo's 12U team is 'diverse, hardworking and really good,' she noted: 'Your donation will go to travel costs, uniforms, and dues for families.'

She added: 'We also might use your donations for pins or novelty items to make our tournaments memorable experiences beyond the field.'

Social media commentators quickly started raking her over the coals, wondering why a famous actress would feel the need to ask for money from normal people.

If it was for a medical emergency that's one thing. But for a baseball trip, someone as rich as her could easily finance it.

Yet there are those who can't wait or pray that Who's The Boss? has a reboot.

There aren't a whole lot, trust me.

The only ones who want the damn thing are Tony and her and the story does not make sense as they are doing exactly what any writers would have done years ago. Kept her in that house.

Sam has kids at 50...Kids, when she and Hank were married in 1992. Kids...Right...

Alyssa Milano BLASTED as a 'rich beggar' for attending Super Bowl with her son Milo... after GoFundMe scandal

Tickets to the biggest night in the NFL are said to cost between $950 and $9,500 on average, so the 51-year-old Charmed alum - whose estimated net worth is $10M - could clearly afford nice seats.

Alyssa Milano Says Son’s Baseball Team 'Came in 3rd Out of 70 Teams’ After She Received Criticism for Fundraising for Them

Quote:

"The money we raised ensured every child on the team was able to participate and make the trip with their families," the actress wrote on Instagram.

Alyssa Milano is sharing an update on her son Milo's baseball team after she received criticism for fundraising for the team online.

The Charmed alum, 51, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram on Friday, July 19, featuring her family on different baseball-related adventures.

"Remember all the s--- I got for fundraising for my son’s baseball team?" she began the caption of the post. "The team came in 3rd out of 70 teams. The families on our team are so appreciative to everyone who made a donation."

"The money we raised ensured every child on the team was able to participate and make the trip with their families. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you," she added.

The carousel of photos included a snapshot of the actress kissing her husband, David Bugliari, through a fence, her son Milo playing baseball, and her daughter Elizabella enjoying ice cream and posing with her brother.

The Insatiable actress hugged her son in the final photo in the set.

Earlier this year, Milano received criticism online for a post she made on Twitter on Jan. 25, asking her followers to donate to a GoFundMe account she set up to raise money for a trip that Milo's baseball team was taking to Cooperstown, N.Y.

Per the GoFundMe page, she organized the fundraiser under her legal name, Alyssa Bugliari, and her husband was the recipient of the funds.

Following the post on Twitter, Milano shared an Instagram post on Feb. 1, which included screenshots showing that Milo, 12, was receiving criticism from strangers online because of his mom's Twitter post.

"Every parent raises money for their child’s sports teams and many of them do so through GoFundMe. I am no different," Milano wrote alongside a series of screenshots. "As much as I’d love to pay for the entire team and their families for travel, transportation, hotel, food and beverage, uniforms, trading pins and all the things teams do for this kind of trip — I cannot afford to do so. Maybe someday."

"Also, if I did pay for everyone — my trolls would find something else to be hurtful about. Regardless of how you feel about me, going on to my hardworking 12 year old son’s Instagram page and leaving these kinds of messages is so horrid," the actress continued. "Leave the kids alone. Let them play baseball."

"If you are against donating — don’t donate. If you’d like to donate to help the team’s families — we appreciate it — the link is in his bio," the Who's the Boss? alum concluded her message.
