"Chicago Med" fans’ fears following the Season 9 finale have materialized: Dr. Crockett Marcel is checking out of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.

Dominic Rains, who has portrayed the ace emergency room surgeon since Season 5, is departing the NBC medical drama as a series regular. It is unclear whether he will reprise his character as a guest star in the upcoming 10th season.
