Did the direction and comedy become lifeless after Season 7, particularly when Bob Lalley and Oz Scott were directing? Like, did of many post-Season 7 episodes lack energy and did the cast look and sound straight up tired?

The show may have been as wild as season 1 to 3 but overall there was not one season I didnt find enjoyable which is why I bought the season series on DVD.

Not to me. I love the episodes after Season 7. They were not lifeless at all. They had plenty of energy and the cast looked and sounded great, not tired at all.
