Mindy says there is no hope for a reunion/reboot

Mindy said that it would’ve been done by now, but implied that one of them didn’t want to do it. She also said that she wouldn’t want to act with one of them who doesn’t have the acting experience that the other 3 of them have. It was clear she was talking about Lisa. I found this interview to be very unsettling, as a fan. It’s clear Mindy has issues with Lisa, and projected it here. To imply that Lisa isn’t up to her acting standards was just rude. Yes, Lisa didn’t act for many years, but she has gotten back into it. She made several movies, and hosts a TV show that’s now in its 6th season. Mindy said that people would be disappointed by Lisa’s acting.

I had high hopes that we would one day see the reboot, but I guess that ends that hope.

What's ironic is that when The Facts of Life first went on the air, Mindy if I have my facts straight, had zero acting experience. I don't remember all of the details right in front of me about how she got cast, but I believe that she was recommended by Charlotte Rae. Mindy really did go to a fancy, private school. I mean, Lisa in comparison, was on The Mickey Mouse Club prior to landing The Facts of Life. So Lisa was clearly, the more experienced or seasoned on-camera performer.

Yes great points. They both survived the first season chops so it shows they both had talent. But when you watch the first season you can see Lisa is a far better actress than Mindy.

I don't know who is nice or who is not nice, but at least Lisa has a show on MeTv. The last thing I saw Mindy on was a small part on The Middle.

Mindy is in a current Netflix show called Palm Royale.

I met Mindy at Chiller Fest in New Jersey 2 years ago. She was cool and I agree with her. At least we have the original in reruns.

It’s been awhile, but I worked with Lisa for a year or so. I had a few interactions with her. She was always nice and personable. That said I know some of the issues between the two has to do with Lisa’s religious beliefs. I would side with Mindy on this issue if I had to choose.

Just a note- Mindy's show is on Apple TV+.

I thought all the "girls" got on well. Mindy was there (with Kim) for the live Facts show, after Lisa sang the FOL theme. And Mindy and Lisa were there for the reunion on Drew Barrymore's show.

I'm being realistic here. Except for die hard fans of FOL, who is really going to benefit from a reboot of the series?

I think all four stars have moved on with their own projects and lives. In fairness, they have sporadically met for interviews and award shows.

Just my opinion, but most reboots have cost a ton of money and have failed to generate the revenue to justify them. And I think the only way that a reboot would be a big go ahead would be if all four stars were to do the FOL reboot as a labor of love = donate their time and not be paid.

Do you think this group would agree on a script? Weren't they line counters and on screen time counters? I think so.

I think a one time tv movie with all four would be great, but I don't think all of them would agree on it.

I get the sense that she's talking about Kim Fields.

Kim is the only one of the four (outside Mindy) who is currently active on a series (Netflix's The Upshaw's) and would have the momentum/influence to pitch a series for herself. She's also actively working as a producer and has for many years. I also get the sense that a betrayal from her would sting the most to Mindy as being the two younger actresses on FOL they were paired together more often.


I also went to her instagram page (Mindy's) and researched who she recently has posted with and who she follows and found that Kim is the only one she hasn't posted a picture with and who she isn't following anymore.

She has recent photos with Nancy and Lisa. It seems likely to be Kim. Plus Kim wasn't at the Drew Barrymore Show.
