10:00 FBI: International- This show is going downhill fast with first Heida Reed leaving and now Luke Kleintank.

Wednesday
8:00 Survivor/The Amazing Race/Survivor- TAR is not strong enough to keep airing two seasons a year unless one of them is in summer.
9:00 Tracker- This will make Wednesdays a lot stronger. And it is good counter-programming to Abbott Elementary.
10:00 New Drama

Friday
8:00 S.W.A.T.- Losing Luca and Street is one thing. But they have to reverse Deacon's retirement, show would really go down without Jay Harrington and not worth being uncancelled.
9:00 Fire Country- Pass on Sheriff Country spin-off, one of these shows is bad enough.
10:00 Blue Bloods- Work with Tom Selleck's pitch to extend the final season and go over 300 episodes overall.

Okay... why have the Matlock reboot follow 60 Minutes? I'm rather hesitant on original, unique series on broadcast TV getting screwed over for more spinoffs and reboots. I did say earlier that a suggestion like that would drag down the 2021 version of The Equalizer. Tracker going to Wednesdays would mean a huge ratings decline, because you're also putting it up against Chicago Fire. With the boffo viewership it had been getting since its post-Super-Bowl premiere, Tracker is more deserving of the 60 Minutes lead-in than any other program. Don't waste the Sundays at 8pm hour on another unproven freshman show. And there's always Fire Country sliding over to 10 pm if Blue Bloods can't go over 300 episodes once CBS execs pass on Tom Selleck's pitch.

I wanted Tracker off overrun plagued Sundays so it would start on time each week. Matlock was what was originally announced Sundays at 8:00 last year. With the Survivor lead-in and buzz from season 1, Tracker would easily beat Chicago Fire head-to-head. Did you not see the official CBS schedule that was released on Thursday? Fire Country is not moving to 10:00. S.W.A.T. will move where Blue Bloods was with NCIS: Sydney airing at 8:00. Sydney will flop hard in its new lesser night but it is just a placeholder anyway. With Sheriff Country being picked up for the 2025-2026 season, Fridays then will likely be Fire Country/Sheriff Country/S.W.A.T.

The Top 100 shows of the 2023-2024 TV season: Tracker leads all non-football programs, canceled NCIS: Hawai’i tops several returning CBS dramas

Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football ranked No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 for the 2023-2024 season in total viewers, according to Variety. No. 4 was Justin Hartley-led freshman drama series Tracker, followed by NCIS, Young Sheldon and FBI. NCIS: Hawai’i ranked No. 16 in its third and final season, which was up over its second season, topping returning CBS dramas Elsbeth, FBI: Most Wanted, Fire Country, FBI: International, NCIS: Sydney and S.W.A.T. Also, only one scripted cable series, When Calls the Heart, made the Top 100.
