Tiffani Thiessen has reflected on her days as an actress on Beverly Hills 90120 after former boyfriend Brian Austin Green revealed he used to get jealous when she acted out intimate scenes with their fellow castmates.

The actress, 50, joined the hit show in 1994 after Shannen Doherty exited the series.

Green, 50, spoke about his jealousy on Doherty's Let’s Be Clear podcast, revealing, 'I’d never been in a real serious relationship before. I was incredibly jealous every time she would f***ing have to work with anybody else because we’d already been doing the show for four years. Like, this is my family.

'I used to bring Tiffani to events so she knew everybody from then and then all of a sudden she’s doing sex scenes and s*** with people that were like my family and my brothers. It was strange. I remember I was really just f***ing jealous and boisterous.'

Thiessen's character, Valerie Malone, was quite popular with the male characters on the night time drama.

She ended up filming love scenes with Jason Priestley and the late Luke Perry.

In an interview with Us Weekly, the now-seasoned actress said she experiences 'a lot of different emotions' about that time in her life.

'I had a boyfriend who definitely was probably not the most secure with me being there,' she said.

But there were other difficulties too.

'I also had my own insecurities about being on a job that, again, was very established. There were relationships that were super close that I wasn’t a part of. It was definitely stressful and hard.'

The actress joined 90210 in its fourth season, after starring in another hit teen show, Saved by the Bell.

'I was definitely nervous. I didn’t really know what to expect,' she told the outlet. 'I was coming on to a show that was already established.

'Now, granted,' she continued, 'I came from a show that I had that was very established as well. But it’s like joining a friend group that has been friends for a long time and you’re the new one.

'You learn a lot from all different types of jobs and people, right, and so I have a lot of great memories. You know, there’s a lot of hard memories, but there was a lot of great memories.'

She said dating Green at the time she joined the show, 'probably made it a little bit easier for me.' Looking back on those difficult days, she said, 'We were all young and stupid and that’s why I don’t hold any grudges.

Thiessen said she and her former boyfriend ended their relationship amicably, in an adult manner. 'He moved on. I moved on, and we had to work together.'

The Emmy nominee explained, 'I really take pride in having people speak about my work ethic and how professional I am.

'I still am like that to this day, and I think everybody would say that about me, I would hope. No one’s ever not.'
