NBC Cancels "Quantum Leap"
"Quantum Leap" Canceled at NBC after 2 Seasons
by Nellie Andreeva April 5, 2024 NBC has decided not to proceed with a third season of its "Quantum Leap" reboot starring Raymond Lee. The news comes more than a month after the two-hour Season 2 finale aired Feb. 20. The development is not entirely surprising as the series had been on the bubble. https://deadline.com/2024/04/quantum...ns-1235877093/ |

Raymond Lee & Caitlin Bassett React to "Quantam Leap" Cancellation: “We’re So Proud of the Show we Made”
by Bruce Haring April 5, 2024 Raymond Lee posted a farewell reaction on Instagram today upon news of "Quantam Leap's" cancellation. "Just wanted to say a thank you to our QL fans and those who've tuned in. Your support was felt and always well received. You all have made it the ride of a lifetime. We're so proud of the show we made and more proud of the stories we got to tell. And selfishly for me I've got to meet some really good friends along the way. If and when another group gets hold of the accelerator and it's capabilities, may they find us floating in time still thriving to put right what once went wrong." Also bidding farewell was Caitlin Bessett, who played Addison Augustine: "So sorry to say... farewell Leapers! Thank you so much for every moment of this amazing journey. And thank you NBC for the ride of a lifetime. As the wonderful QL super-fan Matt Dale said, 'be excellent to each other.'" https://deadline.com/2024/04/quantum...on-1235877205/ |

Why I'm So Disappointed Quantum Leap Was Canceled Before Season 3
Quantum Leap's cancelation by NBC is disappointing due to the lost story and character potential of season 3, continuing a sad television trend. |

NBC Exec Explains Why "Quantum Leap" didn’t Move to Peacock
by Keisha Hachett May 10, 2024 Jeff Bader, President of Program Planning Strategy at NBCUniversal Entertainment, has spoken up about why "Quantum Leap" didn’t move to Peacock like "Law & Order: Organized Crime" has done. “Organized Crime is a VERY successful show; this isn’t a show that was on the bubble,” Bader tells TVLine. “It’s a show that works across the board, and it’s very, very strong on streaming. [Moving Season 5 to Peacock] is a win-win for us — 80% of its viewing isn’t in the time period where we schedule it, it’s delayed on Peacock, so it just made sense to move that to free up the time period.” He noted that it’s a “different discussion with Quantum, which was just a much softer show, performance-wise.” https://tvline.com/news/quantum-leap...bc-1235237627/ |
