Creator Jeff Eastin revealed there is "a plan" to bring back his 2009-2014 USA series starring Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer. Eastin tweeted news of the plan this morning, and says it came about from a conversation with Bomer. No word from USA on whether a revival is happening. Matt Bomer confirms there's been talks for a White Collar revival Bomer followed up on creator Jeff Eastin's tweet about a potential revival series during White Collar's Stars in the House coronavirus relief reunion last night: “There’s nothing that I would want more than to be on a set with this group of people again,” Bomer said. “There are real conversations happening. There seems to be a lot of excitement about it. What form that takes and how it plays out and whether all the creatives involved can work it out and make it happen is yet to be seen. But we’re all really optimistic and hopeful.” Matt Bomer on a potential White Collar revival: The cast is up for it, but executives have to decide "We as a cast have all thrown our hat in the ring and said, ‘Hey, if you can do this the right way, we're there,'" Bomer tells ET. "The rest will be up to the brass that makes these kinds of decisions." |

Peacock Originals Chief on Possible "White Collar" Revival
by Nellie Andreeva July 9, 2020 Series creator Jeff Eastin and "White Collar" cast members got fans buzzing recently with back-and-forth messages on social media hinting at a possible return of the show. During a charity cast reunion, star Matt Bomer confirmed that there are talks to bring back the USA drama though plans are in the early stages. “There are real conversations happening. There seems to be a lot of excitement about it,” he said. The contestations have not involved Peacock, which would be a natural home for a "White Collar" revival as a large portion of original scripted programming on the NBCU cable brands, including "White Collar‘s" original network USA, is shifting to the streamer. “We would listen to anything if it came together in a package but there is nothing going on between Peacock and the White Collar team right now,” Bill McGoldrick, President of Original Content, NBCUniversal Entertainment Networks and Direct-to-Consumer, told Deadline during an interview tied to Peacock’s July 15 launch. Ownership is another obstacle to a "White Collar" reboot on Peacock. Unlike "Psych", "White Collar" comes from an outside studio, Fox 21 TV Studios, and its library is not on Peacock either. https://deadline.com/2020/07/peacock...al-1202982289/ |
