Stop trying to place Disenchantment and Futurama in the same universe
A new Nerdist investigative video does a deep dive into the two Matt Groening series, questioning whether they take place in the same universe. The problem is that the video turns an inside joke into a conspiracy theory. As William Hughes says of a both shows existing in the same world, "sure, it’s hypothetically neat, but isn’t there a point where this encyclopedic need to “solve” all of pop culture starts to simply suck all the joy out of things?"
