We're back! And looking at "Rachel Gunn, RN," a show developed for CBS starring K.T. Oslin, and wound up on Fox with Christine Ebersole. Oh, and Kevin Conroy and Megan Mullally.

Rachel Gunn R.N. WAS a show. This early 90s comedy featured the most unprofessional hospital staff in television history, a lot of former Chippendales guys, an inexplicable amount of dancing, and Batman before he was Batman. The show starred Christine Ebersole, Kevin Conroy (in a rare live action role), and featured an underutilized Megan Mulally. Tune in as Brynn, Aaron & Barry try to diagnose this ill-fated sitcom.

How can a show with a Broadway legend, Nick Offerman's (then) future wife AND Friggin' BATMAN still manage to fail? It probably didn't help that another network produced it, but then pawned it off on a network that was still trying to find itself at the time.

Two gems from the 1992 season that had unsurprisingly brief runs. CBS turned down 'Rachel Gunn' saying it was more like a Fox series...and sure enough, Fox picked it up. It started on Sunday nights, then got shifted to the Friday night graveyard until the plug was pulled altogether leaving three episodes unaired. Star Christine Ebersole sung the theme 'Workin' for a Living' by Huey Lewis and Chris Hayes. And then there was 'Scorch', a real dragon who pretends to be a puppet for a fake ventriloquist. Rose Marie and John O'Hurley were in the cast, but it was yanked after three of its six episodes aired. The loopy theme by Ray Colcord may have been its best feature.
