It was a pilot for a Norman Lear series that aired in,I think, the summer of 1977 on either CBS or ABC. It was about a trio of ex-vaudeville song-and-dance men who; without realizing it; sold their soul to the devil. I think 2 of them were played by Harold Gould and Mickey Rooney. Sound familiar to anyone? |

That's the pilot for Year At The Top, which did eventually go to series (briefly) after an extensive retooling. Paul Shaffer and Greg Evigan were in the final version that ran for five episodes in the summer of '77.
