Question Musicians who have openly expressed their distaste for other artists' music

Do you know of any cases when musicians called out another musician, whether they were trashing their music or just the artist itself?

Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, and Jason Aldean were trashed by the Dixie Chicks.

God bless you and Toby's family and Reba and Jason always!!!

Holly

P.S. I can't help but wonder if anything more came from them after word got about Toby's passing.

In his autobiography, Andy Williams made fun of Lawrence Welk in a mean-spirited way.

Gene Simmons gave an interview for the March 2010 Classic Rock magazine where he blasted Michael Jackson.

I knew some of the musicians he toured with, and specifically one who quit because of seeing boys coming out of the hotel rooms.

And then you factor in that his travel agent was put on the stand and in court said that she was authorized to fly to Brazil and bring boys back to America for him…

Well, you know, where there’s smoke there’s fire. There’s no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt.

Wow, that really surprises me. That just doesn't seem like something Andy Williams would've done, he seemed like such a kind and respectful man. I guess I was wrong about him.

Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) was very critical of Jon Bon Jovi

Dee said something like "As a rock star you never smile...you hear that Jon Bon Jovi!"

When Billy Ray Cyrus debuted with his huge hit Achy Breaky Heart, fellow country singer Travis Tritt pretty much ripped apart the song in the press and just about everything else about Billy Ray Cyrus he could think of. I've hated Travis Tritt ever since then. Not that Billy Ray Cyrus was always such a nice guy either, but all the stuff Tritt said about him was completely uncalled for.

The Dixie Chicks basically went and insulted all country music artists and country music fans as a whole! Since Toby Keith's tragic death, I've actually searched a couple times online for any comments about it from the Dixie Chicks. But if they've made any statements about Toby since he's died, I haven't been able to find them. So maybe they haven't and they're wisely keeping their stupid mouths shut!

^^^ I haven't seen anything about them running their mouths about him recently either. All that we can do is hope that they continue to stay silent for once in their lives.

God bless you and Toby's family always!!!

^^^ What I would like to know is if any media people have asked them about Toby since his passing. To be fair, sometimes you can't blame a person completely for what they have to say about certain things. When interviews are done, it's the reporters who ask the questions about what could be a controversial matter. Of course, at the end of the day, it's up to the celebrity whether or not they want to give their thoughts on whatever is asked about.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

Quincy Jones has trashed The Beatles more than once!

Jimi Hendrix wasn't a fan of The Beach Boys because he sees them as a barbershop quartet.

And I heard that Pete Townsend hates The Moody Blues because he thinks they're TOO preachy with their songs.

David Bowie often dissed Elton John.

Vanilla Ice once dissed Eminem, saying he "raps like a girl." And Eminem said about him, "Vanilla Ice is just fake."
