Were there truly plans revive the show back in the '90s - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I recently read elsewhere that in the mid-'90s, when there was a lot of nostalgia going on for Welcome Back Kotter due to its reruns being aired on Nick at Nite, a couple of its old cast members (not including Gabe Kaplan and John Travolta) went on a daytime talk show (it may have been Jenny Jones, but I'm not 100% sure) and announced they were going to be recording a pilot for a revival of the series showing the Sweathogs as adults. Of course, this pilot was never aired or picked up but did they ever even bother recording this pilot in the first place?

Never heard that but I'm sure the ones who didn't become really famous could have used the work!

The Sweathogs were already adults in the 1970s.

David L. Wolper claimed here the idea of doing a two hour reunion film was kicked around and John Travolta was willing to participate but it just never happened.
