Was JTTOU a better show than its parent show, Growing Pains

Or at the very least, Just the Ten of Us had more depth to it? For instance, JT10OU you could argue, had Catholic church vs. sexual desires and undertones as the Lubbocks were Catholic. And there was the fact that virtually every character on the show was a horndog, especially the chaste Marie (Heather Langenkamp).

Marie in herself, was actually a pretty interesting character for a sitcom. She was this pious girl devoted to the church and her dream of being a nun, yet desperately fighting to repress the fact that underneath, she is just as horny as her slutty sisters.

And unlike more saccharine and sweet TGIF shows of the day like Full House or its parent show Growing Pains, JTTOU at least had a dirty and raunchier sense of humor to it. The girls were always lusting after some guy, and Graham, the dad was always cracking wise and using toilet humor.

There was one episodes where the girls snuck off to the Virgin Islands, and one of them made the comment, "They're going to have to change the name after we leave!"
