It's amazing how all these self-proclaimed "experts" or critics all have one and only one opinion when it comes to most shows. Beverly Hillbillies is, of course, horrible and My Mother The Car is always the worst show ever. I think these jerks get together and distribute amongst themselves a memo that instruct what their opinions will all be.
I used to watch My Mammy The Vehicle when I was a kid and a couple years ago I was very happy to re-watch the series again for the first time since the swingin' '60's on the very beautiful commercial DVDs. The show was pretty good, especially meant for young kids who would more appreciate the humor and jokes in the show. As an adult watching I really didn't think the show was funny only because it was really meant for a juvenile audience. But I can see how as a kid I thought it was funny. And the really great surprise to me when I finally got to see this series again was that it was in beautiful bright color. As a kid I only saw it on our old b/w TV, never knew the show was in color till seeing the DVDs. Bottom line, the show was enjoyable to watch as an adult, if not the funniest show, the actors and the cars and furniture and everything that goes into making a set was all very '60's and that alone was reason enough for me to enjoy the series now (that and the beautiful bright color). |

I've never seen what people hate about this show, I think it's pretty good.

I have a show I would add to this list, The Smothers Brothers Show. Tom was an angel in training who has to do good deeds with the assistance of his living brother Dick (one season 65-66)

Regarding My Mother The Car, as a show it isn't really all that bad, but I agree the premise is totally absurd. Probably the most outlandish of the 1960's fantasy sitcoms which were the trendy thing in those days. I imagine the people who created the show were high as a kite when they came up with the idea, as were the NBC execs who greenlighted the show.
