They should totally update this list. There are lots of more recent shows that should be added. That’s for sure.

It’s a weird list. The Jackie Gleason Show - really?

Also, for Life with Lucy: “It’s hard to envision Ball without her sidekick Desi Arnaz. This show had her playing alongside another man (Gale Gordon)”.

No, it’s not that hard to envision, since Lucille Ball had two top ten shows that didn’t feature Arnaz and that ran for 12 years. And both of them featured Gordon.

Whoever wrote this clearly had no familiarity with the subject matter.

I ended up watching it when it was on a Swedish network way back in the mid-90s, but I don't remember much about it.

We've talked about this in some past episodes and in this special edition of "It Was a Thing on TV Presents" before the week we celebrate out 500th episode we talk about TV Guide's 50 Worst Shows of All-Time List from 2002.

We talk about why some shows deserved or didn't deserve to be on the list and we add some shows that were either neglected or should be added since TV Guide published the original list back in '02.

We'll revisit this topic again in a few weeks when we rerank the shows and stay tuned throughout the episode because we might ask you listeners to help us out in the rerankings.

Last year, we went over TV Guide's 50 Worst Shows of All-Time list from 2001 and thought about which shows should be removed from the list and what shows we would add from the last 20+ years since the list was released.

This year, Mike, Greg, and Chico present their re-rankings of what they think are the 50 Worst Shows of All-Time based on what they kept from TV Guide's 2001 list and what shows they added from Part 1.
