I asked on here if it was a drama a few years back and people thought I was crazy. I saw it as a drama with Alice tossing in a little humor now and again.

Well, it's an interesting thought. It's along the lines of "Eight Is Enough."
Maybe that's the reason Robert Reed got bent out of shape about the food fight and Greg's hair dye, near the end of the series. Particularly with the food fight, he thought that was way out of line. |

Some aspects have become more funny in retrospect, as time goes on: "pork chops & applesauce," Jan's black wig, "oh my nose!","don't play ball in the house"... The humor in that type of stuff has been accelerated by the theatrical films that parodied the series.
And the films added to the humor with things that went further -- like all of Mike's architectural designs being shown as adaptations of the Brady house model...! But anyway, lots of scenes throughout the series were downright funny: Peter's fake mustache coming loose, the model volcano eruption, the wedding cake disaster in the pilot, you could compile a very long list. |

Courtship of Eddie's Father
Family Affair Both were similar dramatic shows with a laugh track. |
