Billy Miller, Daytime Emmy-Winning Y&R and GH Vet, Dead at 43

Billy Miller, a three-time Daytime Emmy winning soap vet best known for his roles on "The Young and the Restless" and "General Hospital", has died. He was 43.

According to Michael Fairman TV, Miller died on Friday, Sept. 15. A cause of death is not known.

This has come as a total shock. He was way too young. I enjoyed his work on Y&R and wished he could have came back one day. RIP Billy Miller.

I met Kelly Monaco and Billy Miller back in Feb. 2018 at John Jay College in NYC. I bought my mother and sister tickets and I went mainly for Kelly Monaco as she rarely does fan events over on the East Coast.

I wasn't too familiar w/ Billy Miller, but he seemed like a cool guy.

I'm hesitating to post this, but this looks like a suicide a couple of days before his 44th birthday.

Who knows. That could be possible, seeing as it was reported by his publicist that he dealt with long time depression brought on by a neurological condition he was diagnosed with in 2020.

Billy Miller’s mother is setting the record straight about the circumstances surrounding her son’s tragic death. In a statement to Soap Opera Digest, Patricia Miller said:

“I want to personally thank the many fans and personal friends for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers and condolences sent to me and my family on the devastating death of my beautiful son BJ — Billy Miller. He fought a long hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease.

He loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life. The other causes of death being told are not true. I wish they were but they just aren’t. We all loved him so much and are desperately trying to deal with our loss. I will have nothing further to say. Thanks for the love and support.”

Billy Miller's Death Ruled a Suicide by Gunshot Wound

Soap opera star Billy Miller's cause of death has been revealed. The actor's death has been ruled a suicide by gunshot wound to the head, according to the Travis County Medical Examiner's report.

According to the document, obtained by ET, Miller was found deceased in the bathtub of his home with an apparent gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The report also states that multiple letters indicating suicidal intent and instructions for others were discovered at the scene.

A toxicology report found that Miller had ethanol (alcohol), and traces of cocaine, diphenhydramine (allergy, cold pills), marijuana and amphetamines present in his system at the time of death.
