I agree with Arfies.
Although I acknowledge the creator's research and efforts, I find the tone of the material to be sensationalist. The content of the material primarily focuses on promoting negative things and exacerbating negative situations. While we all understand that real life is not as naive as portrayed in the show, I do not appreciate the way the video presents things. |

I took that whole video with a huge grain of salt. There's no way to prove or disprove any of it after all these years and with everyone involved dead. It is a shame that it tries to out Dick York as an alcoholic and hard drug user when that has NEVER been asserted by anyone else in nearly 60 years. And we are back to the same old "Liz hated York" debate again. We will never know for sure one way or another.

Nightmare Secrets Behind The Scenes is complete and total rubbish. Let's start with the complete misrepresentation of comments made by Agnes Moorehead concerning actors not knowing their lines or being prepared, the presenter states the comments were about about Dick York. That's a nonfact, pulled from thin air! Where is he getting it from, the behind the scenes information available about the series strongly suggests Moorehead had a great deal of respect for York as an actor. In fact based on the parts of the interview in the presentation I'm not sure she was talking about Bewitched when making those comments. She was discussing the state of acting during a portion of the interview, I think the comments were related to that discussion.
This type of tomfoolery is seen again in the video at about the 14 minute mark. The presenter suggests a magazine was getting ready to out Dick Sargent during the series run. The next clip is an interview with Sheila Kuehl discussing the situation. But in this interview Kuehl clearly indicates the outing incident happened decades after Bewitched, so why bring it up at all. It got to a point they were really stretching bringing up an absurd issue and making it sound like a controversy, the fact that Sandra Gould thought George Tobias was too old to play her husband. In the first place she was a year older than Alice Pearce, in the second place the age difference was only 15 years that's really not a big deal. And in the third place, she was lucky to get the job. |

I've read in various sources in the past that Agnes Morehead actually liked Dick York a lot and respected his acting ability. In fact, I think it was in Herbie Pilato's book that he quoted her as saying that Dick York had the hardest job on the set and that is reacting to all the magic and shenanigans going on around him in such a believable way. She really respected DY.

Not sure why AM took an instant dislike to DS. Her attitude towards him was unprofessional. However, I do not know all the behind the scene things that could have happened. From what I have read, I do not think AM cared for the way EM treated DY. I guess we will never really know. |

tcr1701 and Arfies, thanks for posting these great articles. Yes, they confirm what I have read elsewhere that Ms. Morehead respected DY and he her. Also that DY was a good person as well as an actor.
