I never thought about it until I saw this video on the short-lived Tron inspired '80s series Automan: Throughout his career, Glen A. Larson was accused of being an "idea stealer". For example, Alias Smith and Jones could be seen as an unofficial TV version of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Meanwhile, B.J. and the Bear may have been a little too close in resembling the Clint Eastwood movie Every Which Way But Loose. Larson was even sued by 20th Century Fox over Battlestar Galactica, who thought it was was basically just another Star Wars. |
