One part of the story that was left out was she was smoking and dropped an ash and was distracted which caused the accident. I've heard her tell that story before.

In the METV story, the person who threw the football is identified as Peter Knight.
Did they possibly mean Chris Knight?

Funny because Chris has went on the record to say he did not get to throw the football that hits Marcia. The script has him and shows him throwing the ball. However the actual take of the hit was done by crew. Chris said it took too long and he had to get to school or something and that he missed out on all the fun.
