Season 8 is pretty lackluster to me, but I'm wondering if anyone is extra fond of it. Season 7 has some stinkers, too, but is saved by the episodes in Jack's restaurant.
I just feel like Season 8 is stretching it. The trio seems to be too "adult" to still be living together. Growing up is sad

I enjoy season 8 I guess since I've seen every episode dozens of times and have gotten used to them I don't mind them at all. And like another poster said about Terri's hairstyle, it didn't suit her not only by making her look older but she looked skinnier too I guess the backstage drama with the shows producers was taking its toll.

I think season 8 had a better hit/miss ratio than season 7. Season 7 only had a handful of good episodes ("A Night Not to Remember", "Diamond Jack", and "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do"). The rest were just ok. I think season 7 was the weakest season.
Season 8 only had two bad episodes ("Like Father, Like Son" and "Look What I Found"). Most of the others were really good. The show was getting funny again. I agree they were getting too old to continue as 3 roommates sharing an apartment with Jack pretending to be gay. It was time for a change. Unfortunately they went about Three's a Crowd the wrong way. |

I like Season 8 quite a bit, but my favorite season overall is Season 6. Three's Company is one of the rare sitcoms where the later seasons are better than the earlier ones, at least in my opinion.

Grandma Jack was good but how in the world was Jack supposed to cash a check made payable to a woman that does not exist. ![]() I hate Jack be quick, Now You see it now you dont, The money machine. Grandma Jack is funny. I also like She loves me, she loves me not. However after 8 years it was stale to think they wanted to get it on with each other. But its an enjoyable episode just for the fake studio lake that Larry and Jack fall into. Its such bad schtick that its ok if you know what I mean. My all time least favorite TC episode is actually the last episode on season 7, Borrowing Trouble. Jack and Terri create a fake contest to give Jack money. Its the dumbest script of any show. If your friend needs money give it to him and if he needs it he will accept. But they create a fake radio contest for Jack to win money which they never show how he gets the money from a fake radio show. But then he just spends the money on trivial stuff. IMHO its the worst episode of the series. Oh ok maybe its tied with Look what I found. |

![]() John Ritter mentioned "Look what I found" as an episode he didn't like. Joyce mentioned "Janet wigs out" as her least favorite. I wonder which episode Suzanne didn't like. |

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer Terri as the resident "blonde girl" in the apartment instead of Chrissy, especially her Season 4-5 characterization. Terri actually seemed like a real and authentic person that could plausibly be friends with Jack and Janet and not somebody that needed to be babied like Chrissy.

But the last 2 seasons it really became the Jack Tripper show and the girls were a tag team act worshipping Jack. I liked it better in the early seasons when the episodes were divided up who was the star of the episode. Sometimes Jack, or Chrissy, or Janet, or the Ropers. Then they all played off each other and it made for great comedy. The way the girls treat Jack is so different in the later seasons. |
