Despite how much fans of Seinfeld wanted them to, Jerry Seinfeld and Elaine Benes were never going to end up together.

Even the studio producers behind the award winning television show longed for the couple to finally work through all their problems and finally become a proper couple. Yet writes and producers Larry David and the real Jerry Seinfeld always preferred the fun and witty friendship the pair had.

They placed throughout the show fleeting moments when we saw them almost get together. From Elaine almost declaring her love for Jerry in the last episode to "The Deal" they had to stay friends.
