I wonder if Beverly Mitchell (Lucy) and George Stults (Kevin) would be open to getting the show going again. They would be the perfect leading character.
God bless you and them always!!! Holly |

Even had Stephen Collins not become disgraced, I honestly don't know how a show like 7th Heaven could fit onto television today. It was a show where its dare I say, unintentionally funny, squeaky clean morals just don't fit in the present. You can make a fair argument that the morals didn't fit when it was first on the air back in the late '90s and on through the 2000s. Plus, 7th Heaven may have been a bit too preachy and judgmental at times especially in regards to drugs, drinking, and sexuality.
Also, I think that I previously addressed this, but 7th Heaven was a part of that "trendy cool Evangelicalism marketing movement" also included Veggie Tales, purity rings, WWJD bracelets, Touched by an Angel, and coffee and bagel church sermons. Making a reboot or revival would be hard because 7th Heaven is now, such a relic of a movement to make Christianity trendy and cater to an Evangelical audience that wanted a fantasy world where Christianity was still relevant. That's probably why on 7th Heaven, they avoided discussing abortion and homosexuality because there was no way to handle that without alienating both the conservative Christians and the liberal viewers. |
