Bianca from All My Children…I meant Eden Riegel has got to be one of Y&R’s worst recasts. Even Eddie Winslow and the 60 year old grandpa who played Billy (Burgess Jenkins) were better than her IMO. Wawwie, you should have seen the second actress that replaced Eileen Davidson when she left in the 90s. That woman was awful and totally unlikable as Ashley. Probably worse than Bianca.

That's when Eileen was playing "Kristen" on DOOL. She was awesome. She also played Susan Banks. Terrific!

The worst YR recast might be the recast of Tucker McCall. Trevor St. John is clearly too young to have a son in his mid-late thirties. Ridiculous.

Yeah, Trevor St. John is pretty bad. And BTW, two actress replaced Ashley: Brenda Epperson and Shari Shattuck. Brenda left and was recast with Shari who was actually the original choice for a recast Ashley. Brenda was okay, but Shari was dreadful.

Speaking of recasts, who are the best Y&R recasts to you? IMO, Jess Walton is up there. Brenda Dickson was beyond amazing as Jill, but Jess made the role her own. I think Peter Bergman is a pretty darn good Jack recast also. Terry Lester who?

I am absolutely stunned to learn that Peter Bergman is not the original Jack. I can't imagine anyone else playing the role of Jack. One of my favorite recasts was with Gina Tognoni. I really like her a lot. I think Michelle Stafford is too over the top.

Jack was NOTHING like he was today under the original actor (Terry Lester). Jack was an impulsive playboy who slept with his father’s wife (Jill) and cheated on Patty with Diane.

I just looked up Terry Lester on Google. Peter Bergman is much more handsome IMO.

Oh? That’s surprising. Terry Lester was a hunk to many longtime Y&R fans from what I’ve seen.

What about Brenda Dickson? I think she was one hot mama in her day. I’d give it to her any time, any place. Search “Brenda Dickson Y&R” on YouTube and you should see clips of her Jill. It’s a shame she has obvious mental issues and she’s gotten far too much surgery done in her damn face.

Jess is the better actress to me, but who do you think looks/looked prettier: Brenda Dickson or Jess Walton? I’d have to go with Brenda, but I think Jess was a very stunning woman and still has that “simple” beauty to her.

BTW: Brenda apparently left because of her alleged affair (like I said, alleged, don’t know how true this is) with the creator and writer of the show. She originally claimed that she was fired because she was ill too much but then changed her story when she came out with her memoir and claimed that the creator and writer fired her because his wife demanded him to when she found out who he was rolling around the bed with on the low. I personally don’t believe Brenda, she’s a very delusional and unstable woman. I mean, she’s the same woman that thinks her 15 minute documentary from 1987 about dieting, health, and fashion paved the way for reality shows. Also, everyone else spoke highly of the creator and writer, including Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) but Brenda claims that he messed with Jeanne’s life and told her that she would be fired if she were ever to sober up (according to Brenda, Jeanne was an alcoholic) before the writers were ready for Katherine to sober up. Not to mention that Miss Dickson thinks all the Y&R viewers left when she left, even though the show went to #1 the year after her departure.

I saw pics of Brenda when she was young. She was an attractive woman, but I think Jess Walton is more attractive. I remember seeing her young in a '70s episode of Kojak and she was gorgeous!

Well, let me put it this way: Jess is the stronger actress, but Brenda is the stronger performer. When you watched Brenda on Y&R, you would probably think she WAS the show. Jess plays Jill more grounded and less over-the-top but her Jill doesn’t really stand out to me, she’s a regular Sharon or Phyllis, especially over the years. I used to prefer Brenda but now I’m indecisive. Brenda was a bit prettier to me though. I’d jump her bones. It’s a shame she looks like a deflated ballon covered in vanilla ice cream nowadays. Jess has aged much better.

I’m sure you were more than thrilled to see Brenda’s Jill give your favorite shrew (the late Katherine Chancellor) hell in the first videos.

Yeah, you're right about Katherine. I never liked her too much. I always thought she was a mean old bird. You're also right about Jess Walton aging much better than Brenda. Jess Walton looks like a normal person. Brenda does not.
