Default Looking For Sitcom That Took Place In A Movie Theater

I swear, this show existed, as I remember being a fan as a kid. But over the years, my recollection of it slipped so much that I forgot the name, major details about it, even where it aired and who was in it. I think it had a short run of maybe a full season. What I remember of it was that it took place in a classic movie theater with a kid working there and interacting with the people who he worked with. The one thing I remember most about it was the strange projectionist, but unfortunately, I don't remember who played the guy, only that I believe he was a comedian. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Was it The Popcorn Kid? It ran from March until April 1987 on CBS.

Holy crud! Is that a young Faith Ford in that picture?

There was also a pilot for a 'dramedy' shown by AMC in the late 90s called The Royale. About a 'troubled' kid whose dad died in WWII and the staff of the local cinema who takes him in and gives him a job.

YES! That's it! Thanks a lot, man, I've been looking for that forever.

And it is Faith Ford, and apparently, Penelope Ann Miller was in it, too.

I just watched the 6 episodes when I put them on a DVD a few weeks ago. Actually not a bad little show.

He wanted to work in movies, but for now he's only made it as far as the candy counter at the local theater. Still, not a bad job if you're working with Penelope Ann Miller and Faith Ford. This MTM show expired after a half-dozen low-rated episodes. Theme song by Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo.
