led to his retirement from acting in 2020
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...es-1235158253/ According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox, who has been suffering from Parkinson's disease, recently said on Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out podcast that he no longer takes roles "with a lot of lines" after his two-episode stint on The Good Fight in 2020. “When I did the spinoff from (The) Good Wife, which is (The) Good Fight, I couldn’t remember the lines. I just had this blank, I couldn’t remember the lines,” he said. While filming the The Good Fight on a soundstage in Culver City, the actor says he couldn’t “get this line together.” Fox said he had a similar experience while guest-starring on Designated Survivor in 2018. “It was this legal stuff and I just couldn’t get it,” he said. “But what (was) really refreshing was I didn’t panic. I didn’t freak out. I just went, ‘Well, that’s that. Moving on. A key element of this process is memorizing lines, and I can’t do it.'” |
