"The Good Doctor" Renewed for Season 6 at ABC

"The Good Doctor" will continue treating ABC as the network renews the drama for its sixth season. ABC announced the renewal Wednesday.

According to the network, the drama is the No. 1 entertainment series in the Monday’s 10 p.m. hour this season in both total viewers and 18-49 demo rating. This season of has also averaged 10.5 million total viewers and a 2.1 demo rating after 35 days of viewing across ABC’s linear and digital platforms.

The Good Doctor boss weighs in on the Season 5 finale, previews the already-shot Season 6 premiere

"The first episode has a huge amount of intensity and fun, but it’s difficult because it’s the immediate fallout," executive producer David Shore says of the Season 6 premiere. The first two episodes of next season have already been filmed.

This show is getting progressively worse & that lead character is a MEGA dork.

I hope to see some interaction with characters outside of work in Season 6. I get this is a medical drama, but it seemed like every scene was either at the hospital, or at Shaun/Lea's home.
