The five-episode Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem will unite past and present stars of the long-running NBC daytime soap. Peacock says of the limited series: "Over a long weekend, John and Marlena travel to Zurich; Ben and Ciara have a romantic getaway in New Orleans; Chad visits some old friends in Phoenix; and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli vacation in Miami. All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. It's a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure."

"Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem", Peacock’s five-episode limited series spawned by the long-running NBC soap drama, has added alums Thaoo Penghlis, Leann Hunley, Christie Clark and Austin Peck to the cast.

Also returning are Greg Rikaart, Chandler Massey and Zachary Atticus Tinker.

They'll reprise their fan favorite Bo — who was killed off in 2015 — and Hope roles on Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem when the Peacock series returns for five new episodes on July 11. Alfonso is returning to the Days franchise after departing following a well-publicized contract dispute in 2020.

"I decided to return to Beyond Salem because (head writer) Ron Carlivati has written an incredible story," Alfonso, who left Days in 2020 amid a contract dispute, tells E!'s Daily Pop. "If the fans know me at all, which I know you do, is that it has to be about the story. As I'm talking about it, I'm getting chills, because as Ron was telling me, it was, like, ‘Oh my gosh. He is breaking the sound barrier here.' The audience is going to be in shock when they see what happens."
