Boycott baseball

I think Mark Kotsay has potential to develop into a good manager and I like him better than Bob Melvin. But with a roster this year of several unknowns and aging veterans near the end of their careers, just can't expect much from the rebuilding A's in 2022. My hope is that they will be better than I currently think and they avoid losing 100 games.

Yankees rallied 3 times today to finally beat the Red Sox in the home opener, which I sense may be the highlight of the season. As currently constructed, right now I see them ending up around .500, but with the expanded playoff format (2 more teams in each league), who knows, maybe mediocre gets in.

I see the Yankees as a competitive team and believe they can do better than .500.

Not a surprise that the A's lost their season opener to Philadelphia by a 9-5 score. I think it's going to be a painfully bad year for the A's, I'm trying to be hopeful that they will be better than I think but if the losses start piling up I will lose hope quickly.
