I beg you. Please don't attend any baseball game this year.
Don't buy any baseball related merchandise. Cancel your MLB network subscription. If you don't, baseball will become as relevant as bowling( not very). |

Good article, I agree with most all of it.
https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...-ugliness-game Tony Clark is a good figurehead, but he's a little out of his element dealing with the sharks. |

In a way, you have to give the owners credit. They have really managed to seize the tiger by the tail and go from a position of weakness, into one having the upper hand. Using the luxury tax threshold as an artificial salary cap, was genius. But I'm still wondering if they can ultimately avoid another "collusion" allegation as the result.
Me? I'm ticked at both sides. They all insist they are the victim, yet fail to appreciate how lucky they truly are. I think the main turning point was 2016, with the Cubs winning the world series. It was like God himself saying "From here on out, none of this matters" |

its heartbreaking that the MLB is not starting this month and early into the first weekend of next month(?0 because many of the games are cancelled.

Over at ESPN there is an article titled "they need to stop treating us like we're idiots"
That is long, but a very good read, imo. Some of the players state they are willing to miss the entire season, before they would even think of giving in. Imagine you just bought that island with the mansion last year, and your mortgage payment is $249,000 per month...and now you are unemployed....YIKES!! |

There's always Tee Ball that could air in its place.

I'm ready for NCAA Basketball March Madness. I won't miss MLB baseball in the slightest, sorry to say.

Since I follow the A's and they are not expected to be contenders this year, the prospect of no baseball in 2022 doesn't really bother me. I imagine an agreement to the current stalemate will eventually be reached and there will be some sort of a baseball season, just not the usual full 162 game schedule. And if the A's end up being bottom feeders I won't be watching the games anyway.
