Default The Worst Episode In The Book Of Boba Fett

https://www.looper.com/781549/the-wo...-of-boba-fett/

Quote:
Episode 3 is a contender for worst episode, but Episode 7 wins the crown

When it comes to stating which episode of "The Book of Boba Fett" is the worst, the case could be made for a few different installments. For example, Chapter 6, titled "From the Desert Comes a Stranger," features a deep-fake version of Luke Skywalker and plenty of Grogu cuteness, but it has been alternately called "the worst kind of fanservice" (via Daily Dot) and "easily the best installment so far" (per FanSided). "Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa" is another candidate for the worst episode of the season, coming in last place on Metacritic and IMDb's respective ratings-based lists.

But the argument for the worst episode is perhaps the strongest with "Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor" because it was such an anticipated series finale, with Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian joining Boba Fett and the conflict with the Pyke Syndicate coming to a head. Despite the high ratings, many fans on Reddit voiced their disappointment with what they considered awkward action scenes (Did those giant droids kill a single person? No!) and an anticlimactic ending.

On Rotten Tomatoes, for example, the "Chapter 7" episode gets the worst score of all of them, with a 53% Tomatometer score. The page features quotes from reviewers like Matthew Dougherty of The Daily Beast, who said the show ended in "embarrassing fashion by teasing 'The Mandalorian'" and Total Film's Jack Shepherd, who called it "a messy, missed opportunity."

Fans were not pleased with Robert Rodriguez's directing

Fans did not hold back on Reddit when it came to voicing their dislike of the season finale episode, either. Redditor u/Regenitor_ said, "My assessment is that Episodes 1-4 were a bit of a snoozefest. In stark contrast, Episodes 5-6 were some of the best 'Star Wars' ever but had no right being part of this show. And then this finale tries to tie them both together with a bow but doesn't get the wrapping quite right." U/matt111199 wrote, "This show feels like it started without a script and was contorted into ['The Mandalorian'] S2.5 because they lost faith in it." Some fans tied the worst episodes to director Robert Rodriguez, who helmed the first, third, and seventh episodes (via IMDb).
Many criticized the editing and the choreography of the action, plus the missed narrative opportunities presented early on — think the introduction of the shady Hutt twins — that could have made the finale better. Some thought the series didn't do justice to its ultimate baddie. "One of my many reasons for hating the Book of Boba Fett finale is purely personal. Cad Bane deserved so much better," said @charleshoppes on Twitter. Elsewhere, some didn't get the point altogether. "I just watched the 'Book of Boba Fett' finale ... I think that may be the most inconsequential series I've ever watched? What exactly was its purpose?" @justinlosacco asked.

Of course, plenty of people, like @BurhanPlays, enjoyed the series for providing deeper knowledge of the Tuskens and rancors, as well as the addition of characters like Wookiee Black Krrsantan (Carey Jones), making this yet another divisive topic in "Star Wars" fandom. What else is new?
